Dubbing

Our dubbing division specialises in high-quality dubbing services across major African languages. Dubbing is an art that relies heavily on how well we start — so we give the early stages of your project the care and attention they deserve.  Here’s a step-by-step guide to how we handle dubbing consultations and prepare you for a smooth quoting and production experience:

01

Pre- Costing Consultation

Before we get into the finer details, it's common for clients to request that we sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) — we’re happy to do this to protect your content.

Next, we’ll schedule a relaxed but structured meeting with our Project Manager and Executive Producer. This session is all about understanding your needs and ensuring we’re a good fit for your project. During this call, we’ll cover the following essentials:

  • The language pair(s) required (e.g. English to Swahili)

  • Your turnaround times and ideal delivery dates

  • The final deliverables you’re expecting

  • The quality and format of the assets you already have (video, script, M&E tracks, etc.)

  • The dubbing style you’re after (lip-sync, voice-over, UN-style narration)

  • Any special pronunciation guides, tone references or cultural sensitivities we should be aware of

  • The target audience or broadcast platform, to help us align style and tone

  • An idea of your project timeline and budget range, if available

02

Defining our role in your process

Once we’ve understood your scope and vision, we’ll agree on the role you’d like us to play. Some clients need a full turnkey solution — from translation and adaptation to final mix and QC — while others may only need a specific part of the process.

We’re flexible. Just let us know what stage of your production you'd like us to step in.

Preparing for Production

Once we've aligned on scope and responsibilities, we’ll ask you to share the necessary pre-production materials. These include:

  • Time-coded scripts

  • Music & Effects (M&E) audio

  • Character bibles or tone/style guides

  • Reference videos or previously dubbed content (if any)

This step helps us prepare for accurate casting, adaptation, and scheduling.

04

With everything in place, we move to casting. Our team selects voice artists that best suit your characters, tone, and language needs. Once casting is approved, production begins — and your dubbing project is officially underway.
